Beginning Steps
This requirement is to be completed during the summer after your senior year.
June-July (during Fast of the Apostles) - The apostles waited for pentecost with fasting and prayer. Together with you, we will begin your service likewise. Start the month by deciding with your confession father your rule for the fast of the apostles. Make sure to have a plan for abstaining from food in the beginning of the day. We will all read the Book of Acts. Throughout the fast, we will together pray for the Holy Spirit to work in your service. While reading Acts, you will listen to the following Bible studies to raise your awareness of the context of early Christian evangelism.

August - Read sections from On the Incarnation (Ch 1-4) by St. Athanasius. No reflection assignment will be assigned but we will be checking in with you to discuss and to help with any difficult parts.
